Directed by Kioumars Sarshar, the short documentary ‘Indigenous’ has been selected to vie at the Vintage International Film Festival (VIFF) in India.
The fifteen-minute doc narrates the story of an old man whose children migrate to the city to find a job. The man works in a salt mine alone and sells the salt with enormous difficulty.
As it is stated on the festival’s website, VIFF aims to provide talented filmmakers with a proper platform to introduce their short films and documentaries.
The fest gives these filmmakers a chance to showcase their works and ideas on an international level.
The 2nd edition of the VIFF is slated for August 17-18, 2019 in the Indian city of Kolhapur.
